Once a shearer's quarters, Whio Lodge has been completely renovated to the highest standard.
There are three dormitory style rooms one of which has an adjoining private double room. The open plan indoor outdoor kitchen, dining and lounge area has a surrounding veranda with seating. Outside BBQ/Bar area which overlooks Whakahoro settlement also has axe throwing and clay pigeon facilities.
Dorm beds are $35 per person, or $45 includes bed linen. Towels are also available for hire.
The adjoining double room is $80, and includes bed linen. This can be hired out as part of an ensuite family room. We also have the Honeymoon Suite (being on Honeymoon not a prerequisite!) which is located on a little hillock next to the main lodge. No en-suite as yet, so you use one of the two bathrooms in the main lodge.
